A majority of people with cancer have found that relaxing and undertaking other imagery exercises have helped them to a great extent to cope with the pain and stress of Cancer.
Below are some of the exercise that should be taken by a cancer patient in order to bust the pain and stress of cancer.
Breathing
Breathing deeply either at a slow pace or rapidly offers a pleasing feeling that lasts for a longer time. The exercise relaxes the mind as well as infuse calmness in the body.
Muscle Tensing
Tense or squeezing your major muscle groups is another such relaxing exercise that offers relief in cancer. Continue tensing and relaxing each muscle group i.e. Chest, Lower back and Legs helps in offering a soothing feeling.
Slow Rhythmic Breathing
Slow rhythmic breathing is an exercise that could help in busting long term stress. To practice the exercise, you need to close your eyes and think of the most beautiful and peaceful place you have ever been to. Slowly breathe in and breathe out while you imagine the scene. Continue the exercise for 10 minutes.
Controlled rhythmic breathing over a sustained period has a calming as well as energizing effect.
Imagery
Though somewhat similar to Slow Rhythmic Breathing, Imagery is a relaxing exercise that requires you to imagine something good and peaceful. Close your eyes, think of a place or activity that made you happy in the past and breathe in and out slowly.
Repeat the exercise for few minutes for calmness and composure.
