September is the month of awareness, for ovarian cancer, one of the many types of cancers that plague our globe. Cancer is truly a scourge. A debilitating disease that takes many lives. It is sad that there are close to no centers, for effective treatment of cancer, in this country. • liver or lymph nodes.

Ovarian cancer has a higher frequency of occurrence in women who ovulate more, and hence women, who have never had children, are at a higher risk. The early symptoms of ovarian cancer persist for months before they are even diagnosed, and then they spread rapidly. Difficulty in eating, and urinary symptoms, are fairly common symptoms. If these start to occur for more than 12 times a month, then the person should get themselves checked, immediately. Progress will lead to:

• back pain
• abdominal masses
• fatigue
• vaginal bleeding
• weight loss

There will be a buildup of fluid, in the woman's abdominal cavity. Ovarian cancer, is often linked with a higher age and family history of ovarian cancer, is very high. Anemia rectal bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding, appetite loss, etc are also some of the symptoms. Causes, of ovarian cancer, remain unknown. The risk of developing ovarian cancer has been linked to several reasons.Hereditary forms are caused by gene mutation, and infertile women as those with endometriosis, are generally prone. Chemotherapy has always been one of the general methods of care for ovarian cancer, for decades, although with variable protocols.
