The stress of living with cancer could leave an individual exhausted. To overcome the same and to battle the disease, it is essential to adopt some of the below mentioned good habits in the daily routine.
Have a proper sleep:
- Practice the habit of sleeping at the same time every night
- Avoid activities like watching TV or any work right before going to bed
- Avoid alcohol in the evenings
- Get out of your bed if you can't sleep within 15 or 20 minutes and take a short walk
- Opt for something relaxing, like listening to music or reading
- If you feel tired, go back to bed again and take rest
Get Moving:
- Physical activities are effective in fighting fatigue
- Walking for 20 minutes a day can help you feel better and more energetic
- Before you start any physical activity program, consult your doctor to make sure you do not have any health restrictions
Take Eating as Exercise
- Practice eating high-energy foods
- Eat small meals frequently during the day
- Choose nutritious foods like nuts, eggs, beans, fruits, vegetables and all the other healthy foods
Energy Conservation to be practiced:
- Energy levels typically rise and fall throughout the day
- Note all the details, what time you feel energetic and when you are tired
- Organize the day in such a way that you do more demanding tasks when you have the most energy
The above habits will not only help you get over cancer but with them, you can help yourself in numerous ways.
