There are signs and symptoms of illnesses which if detected early, become a life-saving chance for the patient. Leukemia, commonly known as cancer of the blood, is one of the many life-threatening disorders, and one that calls for Leukemia treatment in India.
How is Leukemia caused?
Healthy blood cells die after a specific time period. They are replaced by new blood cells which are produced in the bone marrow. However, the DNA, mostly of immature white blood cells, is damaged in some way. This results in continuous and abnormal growth and division of the blood cells.
These abnormal blood cells do not die when they should, and keep on accumulating to occupy more space; these are known as cancerous cells. As these cancer cells continue to grow and divide, they interfere with the function and growth of healthy white blood cells by blocking the available space in the blood. Eventually, the cancer cells leave very little space for the good and healthy cells in the blood.
How to detect Leukemia?
Here are 4 ways to detect Leukemia:
Easy bruising and bleeding –This is because blood clotting is poor and may not help the patient to easily recover from a wound. A small red to purple spot known as petechia may develop on the body. This is caused by a minor hemorrhage.
Low immune system -The patient's white blood cells, which fight off infection, may be suppressed, or may not work properly. The patient may suffer frequently from infections, or his immune system may attack other healthy body cells.
Anemia – Due to a shortage of healthy and good red blood cells, the patient may suffer from anemia which may lead to difficult respiration (dyspnea) and pallor (skin has a pale color caused by illness).
Other symptoms –The other symptoms that are experienced altogether are nausea, fever, chills, night sweats, flu-like symptoms, bone pain, and tiredness. If the liver or spleen becomes enlarged or swells up, the patient may feel full and will eat less, resulting in weight loss.
Is there a cure?
The treatment of Leukemia is tailored to the type and the stage of cancer. The different types of treatment include targeted therapy, interferons, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery and stem cell transplant. Targeted therapy is different than chemotherapy because it attacks a specific part of the cancer cell.
The Cancer Healer Center specializes in cancer treatment via Immunotherapy or cancer immunology. This mode of treatment was designed by Late Dr. Hari Krishna and is currently carried forward under the expert guidance of Dr. Tarang Krishna. The treatment for cancer is offered through immunotherapy. This treatment strengthens the immune cells of the body in order to fight off the misbehaving cancer cells. Dr. Krishna’s treatment also helps improve the quality of life from the side effects of traditional treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy that often leave the patient with an even weaker immune system, including compromised bone strength, hair loss, body pain, nausea, vomiting and more.
Leukemia treatment in India has improved owing to the successful use of the cancer healer therapy, and Dr. Tarang continues to endeavor for the cure of cancer via cancer immunology.
