The tongue cancer is a type of oral cancer,where a part of the front or sides of the tongue observes the abnormal growth of cancerous cells. Squamous cell carcinoma is identified to be the most common type of cancer cells that grow on the tongue.
Oral cancer is the third most common form of cancer in India, which spread due to the regular habit of chewing tobacco. Stages of tongue cancer:

Stage 2: Cancer is about 4 cm and yet not spread to surrounding lymph nodes.

Stage 4: In this cancer is spread around the lip & oral cavity tissues as well as other parts of the body.
